Yes! We are already at the 620th day of
travel of the NomadCommunity!
In these last months the Car@van has not being moving, but
many of you travelled together; people that met on our Chat
or through the nomad Hook section! Good…
During these months of 'mental nomadism', there has been
several Events, decided by the Community. Take a look on the
Forum…
And it's during these meetings that this Summer we realised
a cool afternoon underground in Milan (Italy).
Take a look to the Video (click on the photo), the first
is about Edo (a singer that contacted us and proposed the
event).

we realized.

URBAN TRIP.
The idea started through a meeting with Edo, a jazz
man met by some nomads in Milan, Italy.
Edo, also writer, proposed to the Community to realise
something special. And with his band, he offered us
a unforgettable evening in the 'italian metrò'.
…but follow the story:
First we meet him in a small jazz bar on the Navigli,
centre of Milan. Inside, red lights, smell of beer and
Dixieland music. After several songs, Edo comes to our
table and immediately he tell us that he would like
to play music with the Car@van in the Metro. "The
aim", he says, "is to bring the smile on to
the grey faces of the people; and the challenge is to
make them dance in the wagons!!!". (So click

Usually you can't play music in the
metro, and also, it's strictly forbidden to film!!?!
But our aim was not to ask for money, but invite people
to dance with us.
The challenge was put on the site, and
the Community accepted to realise it…

After a briefing outside the metro,
a group of 32 nomads got into the subway and started
the mission. The train arrived and we all entered.
Then, Theo ask a moment of silence and said: "Ladies
and Gentlemen's, we don't ask for money, but we invite
you to follow the rhythm".
…and the music started…
We all began to dance, asking people
to get up and follow us. It has been difficult, but
while the ambient got warmer, people started to smile
and understand our mission. Some of us distributed
flowers, others played the clowns, and the band played
'oh when the sense goes macining'.
At each stop, few people got off and
many got on. And the music started again, and again,
and again… for nearly one hour.
At the end, more the 50 people got out
and we made a circle around the Moscova square …blocking
the car traffic. Ops! ;-)

We need new hook from all around the world (Australia,
Uk, South Africa, Argentina, India….).
So check if for your country there is somebody. If not,
come-on, be the Hook of the New Nomads!!!
If you want to travel trough a country that has a hook,
just contact him and organize your trip.

We
participated to ImmaginWorld
(a Italian expo on humanitarian and ecological travels).
At the Nomad Stand, we had Valeria, Marco, Silvia, Maxmo,
Sonia, Theo, Lamanu… (look

Now we look forward to receive
your suggestions of events and travels.
And for the Car@van?
We are thinking to pass together
the New Year. Yes!
We can organize a trip all together,
between the end of 2002 and beginning of 2003. What
do u think? Give us your suggestions trough the Forum.
Maybe we could also put a new VOTING FORM about it!?
