Global decisions on the
net, for Local Actions around the World
In the
Voting Form n°17, the Community has
decided that the Car@van should carry out a
Humanitarian mission (40%) in Africa (18%).
After the Interactive Round the World Tour,
the Platform of Events goes on the Black
Continent, putting global knowledge and
individual capacities in one of the less
advanced zones in the World. These are
constructive actions that focus on carrying
out micro-projects requested by locals and
organizations. Choose with us in which African
country the Car@van must go to and what
subject it must cover – Health and Hygiene,
Teaching and Animation, Agriculture and
Construction. Voting

During the Last G8 in
Genoa, a group of Nomads peacefully
participated in the event. At first, the
little Car@van walked across the streets of
Genoa, meeting people, promoting the site and
the discussions on the FORUM
– from messages for a 'Human Rights
Globalization' to the need of a 'World
Democracy'. Unfortunately, good propositions
soon gave way to urban violence. And when the
situation went out of control, the group of
Nomads was suddenly in the middle of burning
cars and tear gas.

Following the
discussions on the Chat &
Forum, a trip was organized to
participate (some of us were
curious, others conviced) in those
unforgettable days: Genoa's G8.
When we
arrive, the city's deserted. The
"Red Zone" is shut off,
and, as mentions our friend
Lorenzo, alias 'Fresh Guy', it
seems like we're back to the
Berlin Wall...
The next days,
other parts of the city are closed
as 16000 soldiers 'control' the
situation.

TV, radio and
newspapers only talk about the
fightings. Nobody tells about the
great peaceful and fun processions
that are taking place all around
Genoa, nor about the G8's
discussions. Here are some
positive extracts on the second
video.
