The Team would like not to have to write this Journal, the ultimate South American page of this first Interactive Round the World Tour!

Yesterday, we celebrated our last day in Uruguay, having a dinner in a good restaurant in Montevideo. There, we realized your vote - Explore - of Voting Form n°16. Read the Anecdotes and watch the first Video.

This morning, we have a nice breakfast (except Aleko who ate too much yesterday night) waiting for the long trip towards Europe. Thinking about your decision to send us in Uruguay, the Team admits that it has been a great and big surprise. Uruguay is a little BIG country you don't hear much about, keep the secret !

Consulting our mailbox, we discover an important message: ABC, the famous American network, invites us in their studios for an interview ! ABC has been following us since Australia and they'd like to have us in Los Angeles for next Saturday, on April 7th ! The Team is very happy, and we're now evaluating the proposition: all expenses on their account (food, transport included). For the Car@van, it would really be great... But on the other hand, we should have to change all the Virtual People's plans, and above all, cancel our meeting in Rome. What should we do ?

For the moment, we head off to Buenos Aires. We're on the waiting list in Montevideo to embark on the next Buquebus. In Argentina, it's a day off and the ferries are full. After one hour of waiting, the luck's with us and we navigate on the Rio de la Plata ! On the ferry, we open our technological luggage and each one of us starts to work. Behind, Theo writes the Journal, as Aleko and Vale do the translations; in front, Marco and Nicole edit the videos. The Team becomes quickly the main attraction for children and businessmen.

The sun goes down on South America and we try to absorb its last rays !

If everything's alright, we will have touched 4 countries between today and tomorrow: Uruguay, Argentina, United Kingdom and Italy.

Yesterday night, the Team ate with Magda and Felipe.

With an exquisite Uruguayan meat, we switch on the Car@van's eye to testify about  the Virtual People's choice: help in the creation of the first Uruguayan Center for children with cerebral palsy.

We wrote a letter for Magda from the Car@van on a beautiful paper. After she has read it, Magda, with humid eyes, thanks us with a little voice - you and us, Virtual People !

We give her an envelope with enough money to buy a computer or didactical  software for handicapped children. The first step towards the creation of the Center.

We'll keep you informed about its evolution. Now, click on the picture and watch the Video.

Mission 16 - Explore - Accomplished !

"This week was fantastic !

You took a piece of my heart and I'll always keep you with me. I've learned over the years and the movement from one country to another that although distance can be measured in km, when you love someone, he will always be near.

In our hearts, there are no frontiers or km that count. I will always smile and feel you near, when I remember you.

Thank you for all the joy !!

Thank you for your sensibility  !!

Thank you too Virtuals !!

May your eyes always have that sparkle of life so bright that it distinguishes you all.

SOUTH AMERICA

40 days and more than 10.000 kilometers across 3 countries: Argentina, Chile, Uruguay.

On the American Continent, the Car@van lived many experiences:

Our first Tango in Buenos Aires, the biggest colony of Penguins in Punta Tumbo, the arrival in the most southern city in the World, a swim in Ushuaia's freezing water, the huskies center, the Beagle Channel's lighthouse, sea lions and seals, the Perito Moreno glacier, trekking in National Parks,

Punta Arenas and our encounter with Julio, Chiloé island, parties in the schools, the team's intoxication, a difficult crossing on the Chilean/Argentinean border, the arrival in Uruguay, the estancia Don Esteban, the birth of a veal, a crazy night for the boys, a show in St Catherine's school...

... many people we met: an anthropologist, rangers, an herbalist, peasants, gauchos, soldiers, Roberto, Magda, Ithaca, new nomads and so many people who spent a little time with the Car@van !

... many places : the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia, the sites declared World Patrimony by Unesco: Peninsula Valdes, Parco National Torres del Paine, Chiloé island's churches...

South America is too wide and different to be defined here. These 3 countries are only the beginning of a long trip of the Car@van across South America.

For the moment, watch the video with some of the best images... you can also read the Journal of the days passed.

Hasta pronto!

We'll fly to another Continent: Europe.

We'll follow your indications.

In 'Continue', 27,46% of the Virtual People decided to send us in Italy, in Rome.

We have bought a ticket and we'll leave tomorrow: flight BA 2266 at 1.05 pm from Buenos Aires to London, then BA 2536 at 9.00 am from London to Rome.

We'll land in Rome Fiumicino airoport on the 4th at 12.30 pm. You'll be there?

PS: because of the long trip, the next journal will be put on line in a few days.
