We
found at last a farm to pick up some fruits,
after hours of driving in the Australian
countryside.
Exploring
the area of Shepparton, we find a big
plantation of fruit trees, with nectarines and
peaches, a concentration of colors and taste.
Tony, the owner, warmly welcomes us, and gives
us ten baskets to pick up his fruits. Then, in
a challenging way, he says: "You won't
ever fill'em! "
But
the nice farmer doesn't know yet that when the
Car@van starts to work, it can give big
results!
Under
a burning sun, we start to work and, after 4
hours, the nomads harvest a few kilos of
nectarines and peaches. Our sweat will be
rewarded by eating fresh fruits, full of
delicious juice. Maggie, an American nomad who
came with us for the day seems quite amused by
the way the Car@van goes. It was nice meeting
you Maggie!
Back
in Melbourne, we buy tickets for the
Greyhound, the coach company all around
Australia. We say bye-bye the 6 real travelers
who followed us till there, then the Team gets
in the coach for 11 hours of night traveling.
As
you will see on the video, we had a lot of
fun, but we didn't sleep much...
