We found at last a farm to pick up some fruits, after hours of driving in the Australian countryside.

Exploring the area of Shepparton, we find a big plantation of fruit trees, with nectarines and peaches, a concentration of colors and taste. Tony, the owner, warmly welcomes us, and gives us ten baskets to pick up his fruits. Then, in a challenging way, he says: "You won't ever fill'em! "

But the nice farmer doesn't know yet that when the Car@van starts to work, it can give big results!

Under a burning sun, we start to work and, after 4 hours, the nomads harvest a few kilos of nectarines and peaches. Our sweat will be rewarded by eating fresh fruits, full of delicious juice. Maggie, an American nomad who came with us for the day seems quite amused by the way the Car@van goes. It was nice meeting you Maggie!

Back in Melbourne, we buy tickets for the Greyhound, the coach company all around Australia. We say bye-bye the 6 real travelers who followed us till there, then the Team gets in the coach for 11 hours of night traveling.

As you will see on the video, we had a lot of fun, but we didn't sleep much...

Travel... Work... Travel... Work... Travel... Work...

A cycle that travelers of the World know quite well !

Work one month and then travel for two is a way of life for many. Barman, teacher, street artist, worker in a farm, nurse, waiter, driver, animator in a holiday camp, free-lance consultant, ... are the kind of jobs that allow to be flexible enough to fly away to exotic countries.

Mainly Anglo-Saxons and Danish, many travelers work in Australia one month (to earn about 2.000 A$) to travel then for 2 month on a low budget.

Here are the contacts of two farms where to work in this state. But you will find also a lot of information in any Australian backpacker. Attention, seasonal work is under a specific legislation. Ask the Australian consulate in your country.

A glass of white wine in his hand, Marco says, quite satisfied:

"Well, this breakdown is not so bad... I can relax a little bit more..."

Melbourne is the second city in Australia, a place of contrasts and hidden delights. It a cultural melting-pot, a cosmopolitan and modern city, with a temperate climate all year long.

Geographically on the opposite side of the Old Continent, its architecture and soul are quite similar to the European cities. English habits, French community, Italian restaurants and also one of the largest concentrations of Greeks in the World.

Sun, efficient public services, opportunities for work... what else could we say: it's good to live here!

We'll explore Sydney and will desperately try to find a solution for our computer.
